As the story progresses that some day arrives, a second chance is given, and it seems like history might repeat itself unless everyone can get on the same page. Weston Parker’s Bad for You was definitely bad for this reader’s heart with the roller coater of emotions I went through. I so wanted to slap the characters at a couple different places in the book, just to see if I could knock some sense into them. I sort of feel like this book was written by a computer, literally. It has all the components of a good romance novel but it just didn't seem to fit together very well. There was so much of their life history just being tossed at us that it felt like not much happened in the actual present timeline of the story. The romance was a little off, the dialogue was a little off, even the drama was a little off. The storyline with the principal literally had no real place in the story, it should have just been cut altogether. The girl trying to get with Tristan was unneeded as well. Or rather, one or the other should have gone which would have given the author room to develop a proper villain and crisis.For a teacher, Britney is really stupid. I had a really hard time liking her. She is in her 30's now but she's still insecure enough to let crap from her teen years dictate her life. But then she also makes poor Tristan crawl back on his hands and knees.Not an awful read but not one of my favorites.
